Mr. Patrick Cheung

Mr. Patrick Cheung is a serial entrepreneur. He started his career working for a multinational company and built the Asian business for the company. In 1992, he founded his own company in the flexible packaging business in China, and grew it into a leading player in China. At the age of 50, Mr. Cheung sold his company and devoted his time fully to promoting social entrepreneurship in Hong Kong and China.
Mr. Cheung is one of the founding Directors of Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum, the leading social entrepreneurship platform in Hong Kong. He successfully brought Dialogue in the Dark to Hong Kong, which quickly achieved financial sustainability without charitable donations or government funding. Mr. Cheung was also the interim country representative of the Greater China region for Ashoka in 2009 – 2010. In 2011, Mr. Cheung established Water Drops Foundation to focus his philanthropic work in promoting social innovation for the elderly.
Mr. Cheung graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a B.Sc. Degree in Industrial Engineering. He had attended the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School and received management training from INSEAD. He also holds a master’s degree in international relations and public affairs from the University of Hong Kong.
